Luke Elliott

Ink to Film Podcast
Writer, Co-Host
Portland, Oregon
Luke Elliott was born and raised in swampy, sunny Central Florida, but in his late twenties he travelled across the country with his wife and two dogs to live in Portland, Oregon, where he fell in love with the city and region. His fiction has appeared in “Reckoning,” “Metaphorosis,” and the “Buckman Journal,” among other magazines and podcasts. He has a B.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Florida, an MFA in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University, and is a graduate of the Viable Paradise writer’s workshop. In 2017, he launched the Ink to Film podcast with a filmmaker co-host, where he discusses books and their film adaptations from a writer’s point of view in weekly episodes. Although influenced by a wide range of creators, he writes primarily science fiction, fantasy, and horror, the three genres that he’s consistently drawn to the most. In between writing, gaming, and walking dogs he loves like children, he collects quality whiskies and is always happy to pour a glass for company.
